Phnom Penh, Cambodia – On Friday, April 24 Paragon International University (Paragon.U) were pleased to host distinguished representatives from universities and tertiary providers from India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Philippines. The visit was organized as a meet & greet as delegation from institutions joining the ICIA 2026 Global Round, hosted by Paragon International School over three days last week.



ICIA, or International Creativity and Innovation Award, is designed for young innovators to display their problem-solving skills in finding solutions for the challenges of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a global forum.



Key representatives from five leading Asian universities, along with key education consultants and training providers, met with Paragon.U Rector Dr Bulat Akhmetkarimov, along with the Provost, Deans and Directors of the University, to exchange credentials and to dialog on opportunities for collaboration with Paragon.U especially in STEM subjects.

Paragon.U Director of International Cooperation, Mr Timothy Costelloe, said that the university was very pleased to meet the delegation. “We are happy that potential partnerships have already emerged from the engagement, along with recognition from the visiting delegation of the high regard that Paragon.U has achieved as an emerging leading private university in the ASEAN region, as a young university.”
Mr Costelloe also said that Paragon.U is growing steadily, both in terms of student numbers and international engagement with our partners. “As part of our growth we actively engage with quality education providers overseas to ensure that our goal of becoming a leading private university for Cambodia and Southeast Asia places us alongside the best the region has to offer, providing choices and opportunities for our students and faculty for meaningful collaborations and advancement, with the aim of making a positive contribution to Cambodia’s development.”
