Paragon International University is honored to host this inaugural international conference, convening scholars, policymakers, and development practitioners to examine Cambodia’s evolving position within the Mekong region. As the country advances toward deeper regional integration and sustainable development, this forum provides a timely platform to explore how state institutions, markets, and cross-border dynamics shape Cambodia’s political economy.

The conference welcomes contributions on the following themes and related areas, including but not limited to:

• Economic Transformation & Development – Growth drivers, sectoral change, trade, investment, tourism, and labor dynamics
• Sustainable Futures – Environment, climate resilience, water and agriculture, and green development pathways
• Regional Connectivity & Integration – Mekong cooperation, ASEAN linkages, transport and economic corridors, and cross-border mobility
• Urbanization & Social Change – Cities, infrastructure, migration, demographics, community development, and inclusive growth
• International Relations & Regional Cooperation – Foreign policy trends, regional partnerships, geopolitics of the Mekong, and multilateral cooperation
• Society, Culture & Development – Social change, cultural dynamics, youth and education, digital transformation, and livelihoods
• Global South Perspectives – Comparative experiences from emerging and middle-income countries

The conference will feature keynote speeches, thematic panels, roundtable discussions, and a publication workshop leading to an edited volume with a reputable international publisher. It seeks to elevate Cambodia’s voice in regional and global conversations on development, governance, and regional integration.

• Accommodation: The top five accepted papers will receive accommodation for two nights (hotel).
